Jill L. Young, Psy.D.
I am a licensed Clinical and School Psychologist who has over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I received my PsyD in 1992 from the University of Denver and have worked with clients in school, community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice settings.
I treat children, adolescents and adults in individual psychotherapy. I have expertise in the area of depression, anxiety, ADHD, school/learning issues, family conflict, adolescent development, grief and loss, parenting, relationships, and stress management.
I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. My goal as a therapist is to help clients overcome challenges and learn to solve problems so they can live life to its fullest potential.
My approach to therapy is very eclectic. I tailor treatment to the needs of each individual client. I use techniques from psychodymanic, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, expressive art, and play therapy. I work collaboratively with all of my clients. The therapeutic relationship the most important tool in my toolbox.
